The Society was instrumental in the designation of the St. John’s Wood Neighbourhood Area and the creation of a Neighbourhood Forum under the Localism Act 2011. We helped pull together the key people from residents, businesses, civic organisations and other stakeholders of St. John’s Wood to take the Forum forward.

In 2021 the St John's Wood Neighbourhood Forum was successfully redesignated for a further five years during which period, a St John's Wood Neighbourhood Plan should be created in accordance with Government guidelines.

The Forum was put on hold following significant changes to national and regional planning legislation, and the intention is to reinvigorate the Forum once there is clarity in the way forward.
